Default WFC Prime WIP-looking for opinions

Here is my next WFC Prime, he is 75% complete…I still have some spots to hit (camera exposes things better than my eyes can see sometimes) and I still need to construct a light box for photos…but I’d like to hear some feedback on how it looks so far in bot form so far.

Here is an update on the progress on the WFC Prime, I still have under the armor to get and some odds and ends but this is the result of doing some washes over the red areas and the blue. The washes helped tone down the over drybrushing I did and helped with the color around the screw holes I plugged up on the legs, I hope you all feel there is progress here. The Bumblebee is still a work in progress if anyone wants to know.

Here is another update on my version of WFC Optimus Prime. If I could put a caption on these shots it would be “ Do you feel lucky Deceptapunk?”
Let me know what you think, I still need to paint the inside of the barrel of the new gun. Just not sure to paint it black or bright red.

Here is the updated Photo’s of my WFC Prime 100% complete picturing both modes.
3 months of work off and on pissing the wife off to complete it…and 2 whining boys wanting to get their paws on this every chance they got.
On this custom I filled in the holes in the arms, and legs and the bottom on the feet. It really feels heavy and stands perfectly. I also constructed a huge gun for Prime from a Gundam Serpent Custom figure with a magnet glued inside to stick to the handle that Prime is holding in his hand (closed up) that has small washers to stick too (this may be later modified for something that works better).
I’m really proud of this piece, and looking very much so in completing all the WFC figures for a group battle scene for my own collection. Much thanks goes to all who suggested things to do to Prime to help him look like he does.

    Bot mode

I am curious do the pictures look better and how does that alt mode look?

I like it so far, maybe a little too busy on the drybrushing for my taste, but aside from that so far so good.

Thanks man, I really wanted him beat up (my excuse for over drybrushing LOL)...my next one I want to do will be non-damaged and very clean. But this guy along with Bumblebee, Megatron, and Soundwave will be put together in a battle scene once I get all of them done. My Bumblebee WIP is on my profiles gallery page if you wanna check it out.

Hey man, I like the battle worn look on TF customs most of the time. I think yours looks good but I agree with JBarb that there's a bit too much. I wonder what type of brush you are using to dry brush with? Aslo, it might help to refine him a bit by applying some washes 'after' the dry brushing of the metallic wear. I say this because even though damage is a realistic factor, damage also has shadowing on it as well so a wash would help out more I think (for the damage (maybe a lighter shade) and then also the other parts as well (just a retouch on those).

Also, I am not a fan of gold details on any other customs except Movie line figures. Other than that, it looks good.

Thanks...do you think a wash of flat red may work over the damaged areas? I also have a clear red also...I do want to tone down the silver in spots.
I'm using a basic worn out testors brush for my drybrushing, I don't know if that work the best for it or not, thanks for the input guys.

I agree with other's comments on the drybrushing, to me, less is always more when it comes to dry brushing.

I feel the tires would look better in flat black and a light drybrush of gray, and maybe a dust color on just the treads.

Just hit the red parts with a lighter red wash, it took a lot of the drybrush over kill out and dulled it. Cool thing is he looks worn by the different tones of red now along with what drybrushed edges still show. I’m liking this a lot better now to hit the blue up. I will post pictures later. Thank for the advice guys.

That's the magic of washes my man, just don't forget the darker shades as well.
