Default Need Some Help with a Custom.

I'm attempting my first custom by doing an animated series one for my friend. He's a huge soundwave fan, and I found the new Electrostatic soundwave.. I'm trying to get the wheels off to paint underneath them, but it's not working out so well..

anyone know how to pry the wheels off without damaging anything?

Without the figure in hand - I'd guess the hubcap pops off and there's a rivet underneath. Can you reach the pin from inside the wheel? you might be able to heat up from in there, then pop it off.

easier solution would be to tape off the wheel and paint around it.

you can use a soldering iron to heat up the pin from the back and pul it out....but be sure not to melt the plastic....

or just tape off the wheel, leave the holes exposed, and spray in there!!!

Within the next month I'll be getting an airbrush and tank.. so it'll be easier to get into the tight places.. so for now I'm just using rattle cans..

I guess I'll do the tape off trick for now.. I just don't wanna screw up the wheel or damage the plastic.

I'll try popping off that "hubcap" first and seeing what's underneath it..

    Thanks guys
