Thread: Where to get replacement screws?

Default Where to get replacement screws?

I recently got a MP voltron on ebay but the red lion is missing one of the screws that goes in its jaw area. Making the entire hand a floppy mess.

The screw is a match to the medium ones hasbro uses on transformer figures. For a exact match take the screw out of PRID ratchets backpack.

I hit up home depot and the smallest they had was a #4-40, which is about the same size as the larger screw hasbro uses. Another problem is the cap they used is gigantic compared to the hasbro equivalent.

So I hit up amazon and found a #2-56. which seems to be about the right size with a tighter thread pattern. Albert the screw itself was a tiny bit shorter than it should be. But here is the problem... the cap on this is way to big. So its practically useless as it wont fit in the lion OR ratchets backpack.

Has anyone else had any success finding a replacement to hasbros screws? What is the proper name for the size so that I can try picking some up locally.

yeah, junkers are the best for screws. I have a small bowl full of them, all sizes and types. Sometimes, if I am thorough - I take the screws out of any parts going into the trash, especially the ones w/ the washer type head, those are useful.

haha, i actually do put screws in my mouth when I'm working on something. having a messy work table, it helps.

but back to the squeek toy, i meant I getting excited about finding those screws. it seems like everytime I really need one, i can't find the right size or none at all
