Glad you did this man, I was wanting to do the same for a long time but don't have video capability. I swear, it was like watching myself for the most part, though I use solid rectangular rod now for corner reinforcement. It's a bit stronger, and tends to keep things square a lot better, since angle and tubing are still flexible. The miter jaws are a very useful tool doing this as well, worth their weight in gold.

One thing that'll keep that piece from sliding with the speed square is putting it hard against that edge of the table as well.

Nice tutorial! How long does that blade on the styrene cutter last before it goes dull?

Miter jaws are pretty durable if you get some good ones, I have a pair that are about 12 years old that I use pretty regularly on the job. They're actually engineered for cutting wood, another name for them is Chamfer Cutters, and the ones I use have been cutting through 3/4" solid pine chamfer strip just like they were new. Styrene is a small job compared to what I use them for.

Damn, I actually have a pair of miter jaws in the toolbox. Excellent tutorial, Z, very informative.

Man, that Devastator looks sensational! The details you've put on him so far look great!

That ProWeld stuff sounds terrific. Need to find some of that. I use super glue gel and modeler's glue (which Evergreen recommends), but I'll definitely want to try out ProWeld.

Bravo! Nicely done! I am now actively searching for a set of those cutters. Found a set on Ebay so we will see how that goes! I do have to wonder what ungodly amount of money that MP Devastator would go for online once it is finished! With some of the other customs going for crazy cash, this could probably buy you a car! Anyways, great tutorial!
