If you have a PS3 and don't have this game, you are MISSING OUT on some SERIOUS SH*T!!
Still busy with MVC3 lol. Just how good it is? like what is it that makes you say that?

now that i have a PS3, I'll have to try it. TBH, I've seen nothing that interests me for the PS3.

Well, naturally I am an XBOX 360 fan anyway with the COD games, especially MWII and Black Ops. I just bought the PS3 because I wanted another Blu ray player and was like, that the hell, why not.
Anyway, if you are a big Gears of War fan, then hands down, you will love Killzone 3 - It's a nasty, nasty, NASTY first person shooter but a lot like GOW in many ways and with some things you haven't seen before. Not what I expected from the PS3 at all.
F_R, don't know if you're a FP shooter fan (if not, then this game won't impress). However, if you are a FP shooter fan and you don't like this game, then you're just talking sh*t :)

Hey, I started the Killzone 3 thread in January, go post in there :D
Gonna buy it tomorrow.
FR, depends on what you like. I've got a very small collection of games (10 or so), and regularly play them. Bought my PS3 when TFU came out, but after that acquired Tekken 6, KZ2, NFS:Shift, F1 2010, Darksiders and GT5.

Yeah man, I'm playing through the campaign on KZ3 and it's so much effing fun! I only spent $60 for it though.

Dude, I also bought Killzone 2 to play it because when I got my PS3, KZ3 wasn't out yet. Killzone 2 is 'okay' and the thing I hate about it, is the control setup. HOWEVER, Killzone 3 is a whole new game man with superior graphics and gameplay and the controller setup is so much better then Killzone 2 (not to mention KZ 2 is an old game and KZ 3 is PS3's newest game - big difference in tech usage).

Well, bought KZ3 last Saturday and I must say, I'm not overwhelmed with joy. It just seems like what it is: a sequel to KZ2.
I've started the campaign on medium level. I'm not a good FPS player, far from it, but so far I've only died one or two times (I'm at the jungle level now). I remember KZ2 being hard as hell for me on difficulty level 2 already.
Also, I experienced an insane amount of lag when the convoy came up to the bridge. Sweet lord!!
And the cinematic sequences clearly are below par, most notably the lip sync of the characters.
I really like the way you can carry multiple weapons though: sidearm, assault weapon and heavy weapon. Very nice. The in-game graphics are just as nice as before, also a big plus.
As far as aiming goes... not much of a difference. I expected some sort of MW2 style, which I was quite fond of (easier to hit someone). I do like the brutal melee kills though. And the fact headshots actually kill an enemy in one take :sniper:.
I had a gift card from the game store, but personally KZ2 was more worth full retail.

Dude are you kidding? COD games, Assassin's Creed, Sid Meier's Civilization are all addictive as hell. Might have to rent this Killzone you speak of, love shootin up some shit, Bulletstorm looks pretty hot too.

Definitley try it man. It's important to note that I fully believe XBOX is superior to PS3 (not going to argue this point so don't even bother asking me why or try and convince me otherwise). Anyway, if you are a PS3 owner, this is a must game! It's COD in a Gears of War sort of way. If it's too easy on 'Regular Mode' than play it in Veteran or something.

The only thing (so far that I played) that I would say is a must buy for PS3 is God of War III. I do 99% of my gaming on the 360. However, I'm playing through the first Uncharted right now, and it's pretty great.
My major gripe w/ the ps3 is the lack of upscaling. If a game's max resolution is 720p, it won't upscale it to 1080i, which is the only HD res my dinosaur TV can handle. So, it downscales it to 480p, which looks like shit. Don't have that problem on the 360. Everything is in glorious 1080.

That's cool man, I guess my expectations were too high (what didn't you disagree with then ;) )
On the other hand, I stayed up till 00:30 last night playing through the jungle level. And I had to get up at 6 this morning to get to work.... I must admit (and happily do so) that was pretty awesome. Very cool environment and a cool level to play. Especially getting back to base again. I read there's a bonus if you play that level through without alerting any of the Helghasts....

I don't have the game yet but I've played the shit out of the demo and watched a playthrough of the whole game on youtube. The MAWLR fight looks intense. I can't wait to get the game and spend a few days getting drunk and shooting Helghast.

Might have to check it out then, sounds pretty sweet. As far as PS vs. 360, I'll stick with the PS. I can't stand the Xbox controls, and paying to play online is a joke considering I already pay for internet service, and I paid for the damn game. I think we'll just have to agree to disagree.
