Transformers: G1 Cartoon Style Universe Sideswipe

This is Universe Deluxe Sideswipe, with custom weapons and an alternate transformation for his legs. Nothing altered there, I just didn't follow the instructions, since the original transformation made his legs look awkward.
He's got the same cartoonish look I used for my latest Prime, with shading and reflections on the windshields.
For reference I used mainly the cartoon look and artwork by Pat Lee and Don Figueroa (from Dreamwave and IDW comics).

It is really cool see more of this style. I was wanting to continue after the prime I did. You have taken to a great cool level!!! How many do you plan on doing like this?

I'll start working on Bumblebee now. I'll retool the animated one to look more G1-ish.
I'd like to make a Decepticon, too. Not so sure which one yet :confused:

But seriously, Soundwave would look really cool with an animated twist (TRU reissue, parhaps?).
I was thinking about Starscream too, but I'll have to depend on good old ebay to get them, it's really hard to find figures not from the ROTF first waves here :sniffle:

Damn, now that the new 'ongoing' comic series is out with Don's new style, your previous cel-shaded Prime really looks like he walked right out of that comic book.

Have you thought about combining more movie-verse figures with the Classics line? I personally can't stand the new style Don is using, but having read review threads there are a lot of people that prefer it. I think that with your painting style, you could really corner a specific market and make quite a bit of profit. Just a thought.

Great work on Sideswipe as well, Frog. Keep it up. :)
