Okay, brand new to customizing and kitbashed a hawkman. I'd love feedback, but please be gentle...:o, he's my first. Love feedback and suggestions. I think I'm about to become addicted. Hawkman is more like the current Hawkman with a solid gold headpeace. I did not do the cheek guards that go below the chin because I was really happy with this look. Your firsts?!! Wow...That looks really cool. You should try to do a little shadowing of the muscles with some washes!!!
FYI, since this is your first we shall forgive you. BUT YOU GOTTA WRITE THE DETAILS!!!! HAHA.. We wanna know how you made the mask, the wings, the base figures...all the details!!!

Great point, I haven't learned to do that yet but read about it. I've asked for a paint sprayer for Christmas. Also, thought of putting some chest and arm hair. I've redone the mace, I didn't like the gloss or the spikes.
Okay, the head is the batman head, with an 8 inch action figure Thor wings cut off, glued on and then drying clay. The beak was made out of Sculpy, cooked and glued on. The mace is a Thor handle and sculpy home made ball with spikes. The pants are Aquaman's pants and Superman boots, which I thought came out pretty good, especially with the winglike design on the top of the boots. Something I had not seen on any other hawks.
The wings...now that was work. The wings are two pip cleaners in each wing insterded in a craft wing design you would use for masks. The feathers are two different setts I purchased, and each wing individually glued. The first wave are longer feathers and then the shorter feathers are used to fill in the gaps.
Hopefully, this was helpful.
