I finally finished Optimus Prime. I began by spraying him with Krylon gloss black the a couple coats of Alclad II chrome. I then used Clear Red for his upper body and Clear Blue for the lower half. I used Model Masters Florescent Red/ Orange for his hi lights. I dry brushed parts of his arms and legs. Then I added the weathering and did some black washes over him. I made the Ax from Styrene. This is my first attempt at making anything like that. I used parts from Classics Deluxe Megatron and The Sword from a Knock off Alternators Wheeljack. I know it's not as cool as Mechafacture's but then I'm not that skilled. His gun was painted black and then hi lights added to it. C&C Welcome and wanted.

Nice work on the figure. The only problem I see with this figure is the orange paint you used. It is distracting from the rest of the figure. The axe is a good first attempt, but maybe a little battle damage since it is a weapon.

Not bad, not bad at all. The colors you used are a good choice, and the axe is cool.

I do suggest working on the pictures a bit. A few of the are out of focus and the exposures are off. When you're shooting a gallery, it is very important to review your pics before you post them.

From what I can tell with your painting, it looks like you could have used some tape to mask off areas to get cleaner lines.

Awesome weapon you gave to prime, i would suggest revisiting these little details especially the orange/red colors though... Great attempt ! :D

I manipulated the pics a bit and that's why the florescent orange looks so bright. I'll have to back and try to fix them. I did the pics at 3 in the morning. I should have waited.
I know where I went wrong on some of the detailing with the lines and I will tape them off the next time I do this figure. If he doesn't sell this time I'll fix it and try again. I'm working on Bumblebee right now and will make the necessary corrections.

love the axe. nice work man. I agree, the pictures should take almost as much time as the customs sometimes ;)

I'm working on some of the issues and trying to clean things up a bit. I've gone back and taped things off and am trying to clean it up a bit. I will take new pics and ost them when I'm done.
