Are you brushing silver paint on bare plastic ?
Or did you repaint the figure first ?
Definitely lose the silver paint on the tires...next time focus on getting practically no paint on things like that unless you're repainting the tire black before you take pics.
Pics are getting better but try to crop out all that background.

I knew i forgot to do something. And I did repaint her.

Honestly the most successful portion of the dry brushing for me is the area between the muffler and the engine area (pic #5 shows it best). You did a good job there, that's what you're aiming for on all the silver parts.

Also cropping would be a big help too.

Getting better, I think the things I noticed have already been said, like pay attention to the drybrushing and where you do it. Surfaces like the tires and the seat wont be made of metal, so when they get scraped or beat up (what drybrushing simulates) they wont be silver underneath. Pics are a major improvement, though like TTT said, you wanna crop out the background so that the figure fills the pic, makes it easier to see. Keep it up.

agreed...
I agree with BigHank on the drybrushing. Did you think about possibly masking off the body pieces and just dry brushing the robot parts? or were you also trying to achieve battle damage too? I always do the robots pieces first then the body....
you may wanna do a wash of black as well.

I pretty much echo all the comments before me.

Here is a pic of how your photos could look with a little more practice at getting the background white and also cropping your image. Remember to adjust the white balance on the camera.

There is a thread about this somewhere but go to http://www.pixlr.com/editor/ to crop your images. Is pretty much a basic version of photoshop.

http://www.procustomizers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4085&stc=1&d=1286929594

This is just to give you an idea of what to shoot for. Do not try editing all your backgrounds as you can always tell and it doesn't always look that great. Good photography will though.

THIS is a step in the right direction. Do what everyone has said here.

As for the figure, I would dry brush the black parts and leave the blues alone. I would also paint the cheap looking gray plastics to black and also dry brush them.

It looks good from what I can see. I agree that you should crop the pics and I would also suggest either better light or use your photo program to lighten them up. It will make it easier to see.

same as everyone else, for the tires, paint them black and very lightly drybrush a warm gray or a tan colour on them. for the seat paint it black and drybrush some cool grey. the drybrushing on the engine parts look nice

though the drybrushing on the blue parts are a bit excessive..

Once you have it repainted. Head over to the tutorials section and read up on photography techniques. They also have an extensive tutorials section over at TFW2005.com. Then post some pics where people can really see what you have done.

When it comes to pics, ALWAYS review them before you post them! If you take a pic, then look at it, and it looks like crap to you, we're all going to think it looks like crap, too.

/\ This, especially toning down a bit on the drybrushing. I'm no expert on the technique, but it looks like your brush wasnt quite so dry, the drybrushing should only show up mainly on raised edges and details.

It's looking good. You just need to work on your pics. Make yourself a small light tent. I finally found something to build one out of and I can't wait to use it. Keep up the good work my friend.
