View Full Version : Custom LED fitted Halo Cortana Base

Hey guys, here's a little light up job I did for Altitron. He originally needed a repair done to his Cortana base from Joyride Studio's Halo 1 Series 1 but after we talked he let me do a little more lighting to it.

He had great ideas and I expanded on them a bit, I think it turned out great.

The circuit boards are in the box where the two AA batteries were, along with a new single battery (6 volt A544 camera battery).

There are now three independent light up feature that can be activated separately, used in any combination of two, or all three at once as you can see in this video demo.

Thanks again to Alty for letting me dig into this base, the figure is pretty limited and I appreciate that he trusted me with it!

Beautiful work, BH! I can't wait to see this base working in person, and with Cortana proper. Thanks again for all of your hard work; you easily surpassed my wildest expectations with your excellent craftsmanship. Well done, my friend!

I don't see any pictures...maybe my pda isn't picking them up? sounds awesome I'd love to see it.

And yeah Alty, I can't wait to see Cortana on there too, I think the lights will transmit much better through her like you had said..

The PDA did not pick it up...turned on the computer and watched the Video. Very cool, I like it. I just got all my LED's and stuff to wire my Jazz up, I can't wait to get that done.

Hank, you should post this over on the Spawn.com forums if you haven't already. McFarlane does Halo's current line of figures, I'm sure folks over there would love to see this.
