I dont care what anybody says, this movie is going to kick some ass man.
Its not the Voltron we know and love but it has a heck of a design/style going for it that will keep fans happy I think.

yah, kick ass for sure. Very similar to TF/michael bay, but - it works for modern day screen convincing.

I've been keeping up with this film development as well as the MOTU and new Conan movies.
Last I heard, about a month ago, they said they were scrapping the entire live action movie and using the designs for a new cartoon series.
In the movie story, it is post apocalyptic earth under attack by aliens. 5 survivors get theses ancient Egyptian keys that can bring to life 5 robotic lions constructed by man as sort of a golem to fight the aliens.
I believe they said Tyrese Gibs was playing Kieth and a mexican girl was blue lion driver.

Hmm maybe they are still using the original concepts for a new animated series AND making the movie.
It seems a new studio or whatever has taken it but the film is still on. Or was as of the time of this post at http://splashpage.mtv.com/2010/06/10/live-action-voltron-movie-screenwriter/
They say they scratched what the old studio did and started from the ground up.
Probably a good thing because it sounded like they were about to do the typical live action movie thing and ruin it. It was going to be actors in mostly CGI like 300 with that same dark look. I didn't care for the totally re-done story or actors much either.

I don't even know what's going on with this movie at all. I just hope that the new cartoons doesn't suck balls like the last one they did in CG.
