Well, I know this might not count seeing as its not a model of sort but anywayz! (still a custom!)

I had bugged a friend of mine to make a accurate power sword seeing as he works for a prop company for a while now and, finally he has it finished! (almost!)
I helped him on this and we have acheived a show accurate 'Power Sword'! (and I learnt quite a bit2!)
say no more, as I will get him to post on here soon with more info!:D

Do you plan on painting this, or casting it in resin and painting the copies?

This, that really plays. That would be amazing. I was a big fan of the Green Ranger. Speaking of which, how's about Jason David Frank's MMA career!?! He has one pro win, and four amateur wins, and he's undefeated. I saw that somewhere and I was like "Whaaaaaaauuuuuuttt?" It's nice to see he really is a badass!

Yep, I was quite impressed when I found out about that. Matter of fact he missed the first Powermorphicon because he was fighting in a tournament. Hes also the only original Ranger to still be actively practicing martial arts, but to pay where its due, Zach the Black ranger is still competing in dance competitions. The guy who played Jason the Red Ranger is a paramedic, which I suppose is better than the Blue ranger Billy who just came out of the closet, and Yellow Ranger Trini, whos been pushing up daisys for the past few years.

Austin St. John (the guy who played Jason) actually wrote a book on martial arts. i remember seeing it in the library several years ago. It looked 90's-tastic. Thats awesome about Jason David Frank though. He was always my favorite anyways, so its cool to hear he can actually represent.

Awesome sword too by the way. I'd be tempted to buy it if it were on sale. One thing: I could be totally wrong about this, but I remember there being a grip-like texture on the handle of the sword, not just smooth. Like I said though, I could be wrong, I haven't seen it in any form in years.

If you were a super lucky kid, way back then the show was first being produced, they had kids come and visit the set and watch the filming for all the new footage they would cut in. The people who played the rangers actually used Japanese import toys for film props, and after each filming session they would (I've heard) repack all the accessories and give them to the kids who came to visit.
