View Full Version : Rancor Pit diorama

Well it looks like it's diorama rama at my house. I had a lot of fun with my first one so I thought I'd try another one.

This time I did the Rancor pit to go in my display case underneath Jabba's throne.

It's made of a foamcore base with newspaper covered in plaster of paris for the rocks. Then I covered the floor in sand.

I added a few bones from a skeleflex set and made the door and grating from poster board and foamcore.

I'm pretty happy with it for my first try at a realistic diorama. It's not screen accurate or anything, but I think it looks good on the shelf, so I guess that what counts.
