Got it yesterday from Gamefly. If you're a fan of the Beatles (like me) pick this game up. Very accurate and nostalgic. The way the progression goes is spot on to the story of the Beatles.

The expressions and faces are just awesome. The way the Beatles actually "age" as the timeline goes along is also impressive.

The "Abbey Road" sessions are really cool, the visuals and stuff, simply amazing.
If the Beatles had good music videos, this would be them.

As far as gameplay, meh - rockband has a habit of setting up retarded chords/notes to their songs. Some of the hammer-ons/pull offs are the hardest I've ever seen, and RB is very sensitive to timing.

I really also hate how in Rockband, there are miles between "hard" and "expert" - I can breeze though all songs with 99%-100% on hard, however get 3 (maybe 4) stars and struggle on most songs when in expert.

Here's a video of the game:

I would buy it off your recomendation except for the mild lyrics and tobacco references!

Funny how it takes a completely different skillset to play "Rock Band" guitar than it does real guitar!

it sure does. in college I'd constantly be playing Beatles on guitar, and I completely suck at RB/GH games.

Ironically, my younger brother who's amazing at guitar (and also a fan of metallica) picked up my GH guitar:metallica and was able to play well on expert setting any song he wanted (first time ever playing)

I liked RB: Beatles I just felt it was short. I beat it in about 2 hours or so. But my fav session is like F_R say is the "Abbey Road" or as I like to call it the "Drug Phase".:D

I play mostly on expert and 4 star it most of the time. And I have to thank my parents for making play the Violin 7+years from 5th-Senior year of my schooling. If I hadn't I would be terrible at these types of games.

And the new hammer on and pull off mini solo section in the newer Guitar Hero games are a nightmare for me for some reason.

I have never played these games. I'm kind of curious to see how I would do. As a guitar teacher, I have had so many guitar students sign up because of these games only to quit by the end of the month.

Can you use the Guitar Hero and Rock Band guitars for each others games?

I'm still practicing the original disc (and just got ODST), so I may have to rent this one... I got RB2 for my birthday this year, and in 3 months I can survive long enough on Expert... I like to think that's pretty good for never having played any instrument in my life before. :P Oh, and I play drums. The game kinda makes me want to go buy a real drum set. :)
