I never really noticed.

I really hate the lack of articulation on the DC universe. I was really excited when I started seeing them, but for the buck and a half cheaper that they are from Marvel Universe they could get at least elbows! I've seen fricken Wrestler figures that are like 5 bucks with better range of motion than DC. I do like the semi real/semi comic look of them and the paint apps are strong, but I can't bite on 1977 Star Wars articulation.

I'm talking about the 6 inch figures......I don't even LOOK at those little ones any more!

Oh, their version of BAF? They get decent characters, Black Manta, Cyborg, Firestorm. Can't see buying those either. Never realized the bodies are the same!

They're too busy screwing collectors over to care about sculpting new bodies. Gleek, only producing a 1/4 of the wave that eveyone wants... It doesn't matter, I'll still buy their products like the good little robot they've trained us to be.

I really wish I could hate their toys.

Yeah most of the bodies are the same but I know they are going for the "Modern SuperPowers" line and most of those toys had the same bodies as well. On a positive note, the sculpting is done very well and the paint applications are very clean

Hah..they do have some pretty clean paint apps and the heads look great. The BAF are cool, I just have no clue who most of them are!

HAHA yeah some of them are obscure, most of the "who is that" figures I think are from Apokolips where Darkseid is from, Steppenwolf, Parademons, Orion, Kalibak, etc. Jack Kirby (R.I.P.) creations

Have you read Secret Six? Parademon is awesome. I'm just hoping they make Ragdoll at some point to pose him with.

I haven't read that yet (I barely have time to sit here and type haha) but I hear it's really good, the fact that they have a Parademon is just awesome! I know Ragdoll was up for a spot on DCUC, he'll be made at some point by them or by one of us haha

I don't collect anything larger than 3.75" stuff, and even then I only collect SW stuff... all other 3.75" lines are just fodder for me :D

But a friend of mine asked me to look for a few of these larger DC figures that he couldn't find, and I found one the other day at Target. Took it to the register and almost fell over when it rang up at $14+

I've heard rumors that we might get the full line up from Secret Six (We already have Deadshot and Parademon). I'm hoping we get the dead members too. It would be nice to see Knockout and Scandal Savage together.

The comics are great, I think it's on issue 14 now. Worth reading if you can find the time.

Yeah other 3.75 lines are tough that's why I stick to 6 inch figures. The price has gone up on DCUC and that's why I had to put my wallet away....damn enticing pieces of plastic!!

NightBat

I'm sure the Secret Six will all be made by DCUC and my Walmart and Targets down here do stock pretty decent so if I see a ManBat I will pick one up for you Encline

FYI...I was recently told/confirmed (god love significant others):
There are 8 Different DCUC Male Bodies...

1.) Large Body Buck - Superman/Batman
2.) Mid-Sized Body Buck - Flash
3.) Small Body Buck - Kid Flash/Robin
4.) Extra Large Body Buck - Kilowog/Brimstone
5.) Broader Body Buck - Lobo/Despero
6.) Skinny Body Buck - Deadman
7.) Full-Cloth Body Buck - Gentleman Ghost, Joker, Two-Face
8.) Mid-Sized Cloth Body Buck - Capt. Cold

And there are 3 Different DCUC Female Bodies...

1.) Smallest Body - Harley Quinn, Catwoman
2.) Mid-Sized - Big Barda, Wonder Woman
3.) Largest Body - Giganta
3.5) Power Girl's "modified" Large Body Buck

Also, there are Unique Molds for characters like: Man-Bat, Mantis, Bizarro, Scarecrow, and all the other Collect-2-Connect Figures not mentioned above.

EDIT:
Also, I believe there might be a 9th and 10th body buck as well.
I haven't confirmed this, nor talked to my significant other about it yet, but Sinestro might have his own body buck and so might Ares.

Where did you find that out at?

Hatchet

Where did you find that out at?

Owning most of the different body types and different reviewers, such as this one: http://actiontoyreview.blogspot.com/

But really its from seeing all the figures standing next to each other.
Such as Aquaman uses the larger legs and the mid-sized upper body (due to swimming :P).

NightBat
10-08-2009, 07:09 PM
Have you seen any Wave 10 Jokers out yet??

Hatchet
10-08-2009, 07:11 PM
Sadly, no. I've not seen a single Wave 10 figure yet. What's sad is that I want almost all the figures in Wave 10, and yet I don't give two squirts about the Collect-2-Connect figure in that wave. Oh well, that's how it goes I guess.

NightBat
10-08-2009, 07:13 PM
Yeah Wave 10 is REALLY good, that Joker is JUST like the old SuperPowers Joker, Mallet and all

Hatchet
10-08-2009, 07:15 PM
Just way better articulation...which makes it a double-want for me...dammit! >_<!

I picked up a rare Guardian from Wave 9 yesterday at Target, it was just sitting in the front of the row and I got a Gentleman Ghost a few weeks back from the same place

Hatchet
10-08-2009, 07:18 PM
I want Gentleman Ghost more than any other DCUC figure at the moment, just I'm pressed for the cash to grab him. But one day he shall be mine!

NightBat
10-08-2009, 07:19 PM
Well what DCUC do you have? I might be willing to trade

Well thank you good sir.....I know ML use a lot of the same bodies as well.

I have been corrected. I just know I had 3 supermans, a nightwing, a batman beyond, and they all the had the same bodies....the tights gave it away...

Hey , man bat is a new mold!!

NightBat
10-08-2009, 07:24 PM
Your welcome! Yeah the tights were the first thing I noticed in similarties as well. I just got the Gotham City pack as well but I'm afraid to open it haha

They all share most parts but Nightwing has different biceps. I'd have to double check but they should be slightly smaller than Supes. Also, not to go super feminazi, but I am a girl. I think I gotta put it out now cause everyone keeps calling me bro :P

Nightbat: I'm up for a trade. Any figures you want/need in particular? Is GG in his package or loose?

NightBat
10-08-2009, 07:28 PM
Oh GG is in his package, I wanted to do a custom Joker with him but I already have so many custom Jokers in the works that I didn't want to paint over GG unless I had two. I'm in the market for Movie Masters Bruce Wayne heads, DCUC figures, Batman stuff really haha Hot Toys etc

I'm used to it now...LOL.
Plus, I'm not the only girl on the site, so I should be fine...right?

EDIT - Oh yeah. But you see TFs use the same super-structure designs for their bodies. It actually would be smart to do in heavy war times.
Allowing them to personally-modify their bodies, but using a few well-done/popular design schematics.

It's always cool to see female customizers. My girlfriend is REALLY creative, she doesn't customize action figures but she does do some really cool art projects. She is actually the one who bought me all my customizing stuff and supports me 100%

Yeah I know....It's not everyday a guy can look at his girlfriend and say, "Hey honey, I'm gonna go play with my toys" and she says, "Ok have fun, do you still want to go to the movies later"? haha
