Does anybody know of a cheap but good way to make a diffusion tent? I really need to start taking quality pictures of my customs so they can be ready when my website launches, any suggestions?

Hey thanks, that's perfect! Now I just need a better digital camera, my website to be up and running and enough time to get and do all of the above! Hooray!

I made one out of Tracing paper and a Cardboard box and it works pretty well. Also any poseable table lamp will do.

Here are some pics using the light box.

I'll get a few pics of the box itself and some instructions if you'd like.

Just get a camera with a macro setting. You don't need a super fancy costs more than G1 prime MIB, just a camera with a macro setting and natural light.

That set encline posted is pretty good and cost effective.

That light tent setup is awesome, I'll jump on the bandwagon and say that's what I have too. But if you don' want to spend the $40-ish to buy it, you can construct one at home for cheaper. There are plenty of online tutorials that show you how.

A few big megapixels wouldn't hurt, either, but you don't have to get crazy. Although, with the prices on cameras dropping like mad, you can now get a 12MP camera for around $250

I remember buying my 4MP camera for more than that some years back.

Thanks! Yeah the camera is something I really need as well, it's either electricity or custom action figure supplies sometimes!

Most cameras today come with the macro function, but just make sure that the one you decide to purchase has it. It's usually represented on the camera dials as a little flower icon, and if you're going to take photos of custom figures or anything small, it's a necessity.
