Its actually very simple. Just purchase grass mat used for model train scenes etc. Lay the origninal base on to cut out the shape of the base and super glue on top. Then the name part is just high gloss printer paper affixed to the side. I got the grass mat off ebay. I will track down the seller cause I have to get more anyway then let you know.

Very cool. Super clean paint. I also love the base. Simple yet effective.
