I don't think anyone does lol. Some you have to (eg ice cream twins) I think 99% of the time, those who commission TF customs from me, leave them in robot mode.

The only exception I can think of is Grimlock, otherwise it's all bot mode.

I have been thinking about transforming all my classics into Alt mode to display. Just to change it up a bit.

Well Dinobots always in Dino mode, unless you had a sick custom like a Frenzy_Rumble Masterpeice dinobots with a super mold, then I would change them around every so often.
Other then that Prime looks iconic in Tralior mode!
BUt thats why 1 to display and 1 MISB!
If I had any movie toys I would display them in small peices under G1 Galvatrons feet!

all my classics are in alt mode... just coz i change up the display once in a while.. even my movie figs.. all the others are in robot mode.

Mine are usually pretty evenly divided. Almost all of the nemesis prime/black convoys are in bot mode, though, except for WST.
Leader Jetfire is rarely in alt mode. Takes up too much f'n space.

Robot mode all the way. Otherwise it just looks like a bunch of vehicle models.

I do actually..lol..but just due to dust..its easier to clean the alt modes than to get dust out of all the hard to reach areas in robot modes.

The only time they're in alt mode is if I have two and the robot mode is on display next to it. The exception if Grimlock.
I like to display alternators and similar scale more realistic TFs in alt mode because they look so badass! I like the fact that you wouldn't even realize they were transformers in some of the less kibble-tastic cases. All the rest pretty much have to be in robot mode or there would never be enough room!

Depends where in the house they are. like for instance i like em in alt mode on my entertainment center, and in bot in my dark china cabanets. On both of my desks they may be in eather or....... so the short answer would have been both. i like mine in both modes depending my mood
so both ...................did i pass the test ???

i displayed my TFs in robot mode ,all of them at one point in time. I had a house warming party last year and some guests came inside my room, and observed that i had a lot of toys,Robot toys. blah blah blah i answered.
after a month, i changed them to alt modes and the same dudes came in my room to see the collection i had. they were asking, "hey man! where are all the robots?" LOL! LOL at them! told them.. "nah! i got tired and got vehicles instead...oh..wait... (as i was transforming Alternity Prime), is this what you were looking for?"
seriously dude, i told them, that's why TF's are fun!
same guy who was mesmerized is hooked into TF now.
