Has anyone ever used Plasit Dip to make a mask for custom? If so can you take the mask on and off like a miniature latex mask?

cool idea. Plasti-Dip is made to bond to almost anythign though, so getting it off the face might pose a problem. I'd imagine if you put some alumilite mold release (teflon) on the face first, that the rubber might peel right off, but then again, why not just use the alumilite rubber mold stuff, dye it black?

I've never heard of that before, I'm still in the "Replace body parts, sand, paint and hope it doesn't look like crap" stage haha

Where can you get alumilite rubber mold from? I've been wanting to build masks for my customs for quite some time but I'm hitting a wall for ideas

online, or some hobby shops carry it.

Hobby Lobby carries Alumilite stuff, I'm more a fan of Smooth-On products, but I think Alumilite is a nice place to start.

There is a tutorial in our how-to section. Kyle did it.

Thanks for the tips! Any suggestions on a good plastic to use to cast masks as well?
