Yeah peole, my mind is pretty sick, but what can you expect from someone whose first "true"* and favorite Anime is NGE, where only sick minded people, and various other nasty creatures reside...
*Because I am from the generation that was targeted when Pokemon first came out I watched more earlier. I actually watched the first full two sagas...

You know, back in the 80s there were quite a few Japanese cartoons on tv here. Things like Alone on the World (with Remi) and Candy (http://www.retrojunk.com/details_tvshows/696-candy-candy/) come to mind. But back then I didn't know it was anime.
My favourite Japanese cartoon of that period is Captain Future (http://www.retrojunk.com/details_tvshows/757-captain-future/), though. Awesome show!
In the 90s I started watching anime movies. My favourites are:
