This movie surprised the hell out of me, as it actually kicked a fair amount of ass. The original guys are back, Jean Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren.

Does it say how Jean is now back to being a UniSol?
That's the one thing that really bugged me about the new movie.

I want to rent it out of the Redbox machine,might do that today.
I was a huge fan of the first two,so watching the new one is only logical.
Does it say how Jean is now back to being a UniSol?

I thought it was a good movie. It definetely has better fight scenes than Universal Soldier :The Return.

Wait, so there have been 5 Universal Soldier films now and only 2 are canon? And why am I learning about these other films now?

Well, there was the original and "The Return" where Van Damme fought the wrestler Bill Goldberg.
Either after that (or in between those two movies), there were two direct-to-cable movies on Showtime. Then Regeneration came out.
