Animated Galvatron

Hey guys here is an animated Galvatron I just finished. He was based off of an animated Megatron cybertron mode. He now has a ball jointed neck, and his cannon has been modded to go right onto his arm instead of that flapper thing hasbro gave him. Also sculpted a new head and some new details to look more like Unicron had made him. He was airbrushed with Taniya paints, and then given a blackwash, and finally clear caoted with a matte finish.

nice work!!!! the cybertron megs mold really works well for a galvatron.

Why would you set the bidding to be $0.99, but have a reserve price set higher than that? Why wouldn't you just match them up front? I don't mind the starting bid being higher than $0.99, but the way you did that seems a bit shady or underhanded to me.

Great custom, by the way. But you know that already. I put a bid on it. :P

Why would you set the bidding to be $0.99, but have a reserve price set higher than that? Why wouldn't you just match them up front? I don't mind the starting bid being higher than $0.99, but the way you did that seems a bit shady or underhanded to me.

"Underhanded"?

The reason for reserve prices is simple: if the seller believes their item is worth at a minimum, for example, $100, then that is the reserve they set. If the item only gets bid up to $90, then to potential buyers, it isn't worth more than that, and it could be a gauge of the true market value of the item.

So basically, Reserve = minimum worth to seller, but may not reflect actual market value.

I would put a reserve to cover material costs alone. No use in putting customs on ebay only to find out the market thinks its worth less than it cost to make, unless you can cover your ass with a reserve..

Well the reserve is only the cost of the figures (when I bought them). I am not sure if its the way I use it or if its Ebay, but I can't make a startiung price and a BIN the same as the reserve.---When I try that it takes me to an error page, and says "please correct highlighted fields." I wouldn't underhand anybody, fairness is one of my mottos.---I understand how it looks shady though?.

I wasn't calling MA underhanded specifically. I was basically thinking aloud. The system makes sense when explained in the terms that Bern has used; this is moreso the natural progression of my train of thought at the time that I bid, contemplating setting the auction reserve and the starting bid at equal amounts. *shrug* I don't think negatively of anyone here. :)

Anyway, like I said, great custom. :) I especially like the elf shoes...

Alt mode however doesn't work neither megatron or galvatron.
DAMN MEGATRON ALTS MODES!!
the only megatron that I like among a lot of molds in past years is leader animated. But transformation is desapointing.
