What's everyone's favorite? I'm still going throug different brands, trying to figure out what works best for me. Any recommendations for plastic?

Future is awesome, you can also use it as a "between" protective coat if you are basecoating in say acrylic and panel lining/washing in oils. Also makes a great foundation coat for waterslide decals.

^ I even add it to the mix when thinning paint. It gives the paint better leveling qualities and produce smoother, glossier coats. :)

You have a ratio you use or just eyeball it?

And I use Tamiya acrylics, so, no mixing with Future. Oh, well.

I just add a drop or two to the 'dimple' of the plastic pallet I use to mix paint in.
I've used it to thin Tamiya acrylics too. A few drops won't really hurt. Of course, try it out on your own first.

I've used future on customs and very unhappy with the results. it's gummy and scratches easily, also goes on too thin, especially when air brushed on.
If using acrylics, it's always best to use a oil based clear coats, and when painting in oil based paints, best to seal with an water based clear coat.
I typically stand firmly behind Testors, applied through an air brush. I also have good results with House of Kolorz (lacquer) clear coats.

Are the Krylon clear acylics any good? I've only ever used Testors Model Masters Flat and Future.

they dry quickly and are decent, the gloss isn't too glossy, however their matte/flat is pretty good. Much better out the airbrush rather than the can.

So then what glossy acrylic clear would you recommend? I've been using enamels on my leader megs.

I've been using the Games Workshop brand sealant sprays for a while and have had no problems. They're pretty expensive, but that's because they are made for the Warhammer miniatures and expect you to use it on them.
