This was part of the Inhumans team I was commissioned to make last year. I left her until last because I had no idea how to do the hair. Once I'd established that the customer wanted solid hair and didn't mind losing articulation, I figured I'd just sculpt it - I needed the practice with hair. I'd also just seen Raidaimon's awesome Medusa WIP where he'd turned the hair into a supporting base, and thought I'd try and rip him off... :P
The figure itself is mainly ML Wasp, with an X23 head and a Charmed figure's upper arms and shins. I was going to use the whole lower torso from the Charmed figure, but the hip joints tore when I tried to boil & pop.
The hair & base are a wire core, with tinfoil wrapped around to build the shape and finally wrapped in vinyl tape to hold it in place. Then I coated it in a vinyl-based glue to give a decent surface to sculpt on. The sculpting on the base is mainly Milliput, with a Milliput/Kneadatite blend around the top where the figure will be placed. The hair on the figure is mainly a Kneadatite/Apoxie blend - this is pretty durable, but still has a small about of flex to it. Looser strands are pure Kneadatite, and the top/front section is pure Apoxie. All in all, there's over 40 individual layers of hair that took about 2 weeks to complete. It's rough in places, but those tend to be the earlier parts I sculpted. I improved pretty drastically at sculpting hair over the course of this custom...

Absolutely amazing. The whole set is outstanding and very accurate, but the Medusa is a great finishing touch.
