So I am trying to do a few custom projects, and basically I will be embedding or attaching connectors to the dried sculpt.
Are there any good practices or specific glues/ways to join this stuff together? My original intent was to make a "casing" of dried sculpt and then apoxy my parts into it. Does the sculpt adhere solidly to the plastic on its own? If i push it into the gap and make an indent for my future connector to go in to... should I keep the part in there and let it dry, or remove it and let the casing dry, then apoxy it in place later?
I will be using this primarily to craft the connection points on my Devastator.

I am having a hard time following, by design FIXIT is already supposed to bond to many materials.

I know the intention is to bond to many materials... I suppose I don't know it well enough to fully trust it.
Regardless, I trusted in the material everyone uses and encased a Lego Knights joint in the back of a figure. I am hoping i beef up the Fix-It mass on either end so it makes a solid seal and doesn't let the thing budge.
I suppose the end question would be. If you could push a block into a glob of Fix-it. Would it be stronger to 1) let the Fix-it bond with the block or 2) remove the block and let the "cut-out" dry, then 2 part apoxy the block into its perfectly shaped hole in the Fix-it.

I let the joint connectors sit in the sculpt, then when dry add some 2 part epoxie or plastic weld as added support.

Cover the part(s) with sculpt first and let it cure. I like to re-inforce them as well with some form of tubing or whatever.

I've found myself in the past actually casting complex sculpted parts (especially heads) like Z said though, your best bet is probably a 2 part epoxy (like Devcon's Plastic weld)
