So I have a question about glues, Now I been using the Glue Plastic Weld (Thanks Mike) extra strength. It works well but I hate strong smell that comes with mixing some of that! My wife hates it more.
Anyway is there anything else people use? Is Teastors Glue any good, the guy at the Model shop swears by it.
Also I see liquid cement, is that any good?
Thanks guys.

Rule of thumb with adhesives...the worse the smell, the stronger the bond.
Devcon makes some other epoxies, but they all have a smell to them. Ironically, I've used PW so often i am immune to the smell now :(
Just have your wife and kids wear masks all day lol.
Liquid cement sucks. There is a shit load of glues out there, but most of them really will let you down. I was lucky enough to spend lots of money on different trials of glue and having the majority of them all fail. I have a bag of glues where I only used a dab of each.

Funny I told my wife they smell like that cause they Work!
I Glued my Son's Megabloxs Halo Warthog and now, you can through it into the wall and that shit wont break lol. But it smells up the downstairs so bad I wont let my kids or wife come down there. I need another house.

I like to use the Plastruct Plastic Weld on most of my stuff. It doesn't have an effect on the denser plastic parts, but it works well with the softer plastics in welding them together. Strong smell, but not as strong as the epoxy stuff.
I haven't had any trouble in it breakign bonds.... however....
There really isn't any work time. The glue is designed to be brushed onto a seam and capillary action does the rest. If you tried to brush it on an open surface, it just evaporates away.

I have two different bottles of Plastruct's welders. One is called Plastiweld I think, the other I can't remember. The one you mentioned is for similar plastics (styrene to styrene) and the other is for dissimilar plastics (polybuturate to styrene) I haven't tried the latter, but agree with Boggs, the plastiseld is pretty cool.
I use Jet brand CyanAcrylate (Superglue) glue. I like that they come in 3 viscosities (thin, medium, and thick) for various uses. I also enhance cure time with Jet accelerator. Though I have literally seen some plastics smoke when I apply the accelerator! Usually the clear plastics.
Plastruct's welders are awesome on soft plastic and styrene. Building Aprims chest piece for Superion and it is so much easier to use than a two part epoxy. They Boggs6ft7 described the capillary action is spot on, put two parts close together and brush the stuff into the seam and it goes to work fast. For super glues I found that Gorilla Super Glue and Loctite glue works the best. Think either of those two would work best for you though Aprim. That Superglue brand plastic fusion epoxy does rock some serious bonding though. You could always buy facemasks for the lady and kids. Or lock em outta the room your working in if it has a door. LOL
