Well, here's what I've got so far. Looking for some feedback on how I can improve the look of the damage. Right now it's just painted with Tamiya Chrome Silver. He's going to stay flat black with some Tamiya Gun Metal accents, like the tube steel and bumpers. Please, let me know your thoughts.

I like subtle battle damage, but I do think you can add more and not overpower the figure. IS this a hypothetical battle with ROTF Bludgeon? You may want to add some longer slashes to represent Bludgeon's sword hits.

Looking good so far!

It is supposed to be mostly damage caused by Bludgeon, hence the long gash on the chest and the missing left hand. Thanks.

Sweet! This figure is so damn hard to find. I have one but I need to exchange it and no one has it. I want to make sure I get a good one before I paint it.

No. My walmart has some Bludgeons. They should get some Ironhide soon. So I'll wait. Thanks though.

Did you plan on adding some wires or something to show the connection between the wrist and hand?

Yep. Just modded the wrist to make it work.

Can't find any glow in the dark paints. And not sure where I'd put them.

Oh, I wasn't going to use glow-in-the-dark, I was doing the flat black.

The flat black / gunmetal combo is beautiful. It would be interesting to see an entire line of 'stealth' Deluxes and Voyagers... Hmm I think I need to pick up some more flat black. Hehe

That, my friend is straight Krylon Camouflage Ultra-Flat Black. I use it mainly as a primer, but am going to use it as a top coat for this one.

Now you've got me thinking.....

OW, THAT HURTS!!

Well, I ended up scrapping the glow-in-the-dark paint idea. Just couldn't get it for the right price. Will hopefully use it on a future custom. But, here's Recon Ironhide, nearly finished. His bot mode it done with the exception of the Testors dullcoate. Once I get that done, I can transform him and finish his altmode, which still needs a red racing stripe, and gun metal accents. Will keep you posted.
