Custom ROTF Bludgeon

Neon orange... Yuk.

Bay would surely not have had Bludgeon in the movie with neon orange in his color scheme.
It may have been pretty cool in the 80s but I didn't feel it fit his samurai look or the movie-verse.

I repainted ROTF Buldgeon to look more true to the more realistic scary decepticon movie style and resculpted the bottom half of his skull face to look more like a skull.

I had to shave away some of his long sword blade and the palms of his hands to make sure the paint did not scrape off when in the turret barrel or in his hands.

I think the gold in place of the orange, and a a bit more maroon with some gunmetal rather than plastic gray fits him better.

Also replaced all the green with Tamiya British green and did lots of silver dry brushing.

I am glad to someone do something with the face. I was going to do something similar but can't find bludgeon here...

I think you're improving by leaps and bounds with each custom you post here, seriously. I think I would have used a flat or matte finish for the tank bits, but thats minor stuff. Great work.

Looks awesome, dude. My only gripe would be the Decepticon sticker. That white border just attracts too much attention. Maybe if you could find some gold movie decals?

Ah, I see what you mean, but the con symbol border is actually chrome and looks much better in person. It does look white there.

Thanks to all for the nice remarks! Especially since my last few customs I've posted here got one or no response at all!

Formula93 I have been buying new colors and better paints each week and some new figures have finally been coming out, giving me a chance to do new ideas. I also have more time to be patient on my customs since I quit my other job. I've hoped my work was getting better. Thanks for the compliment!
