Hey, great to be part of this community.

I have recently been asked to do some commission. Here is the very first piece I have ever done as a commission. I usually do customs for pleasure and fun.

This is more of a repaint than anything else. Didnt want to bite off more than I can chew. Hope you guys like it.

Some of you that know me knows that the figures are handpainted.

Looks like some smooth brushwork there. Good job. :)

You might wanna add some drybrushing, washes, and accent colors to bring out the details more. The solid colors (especially the black head) make the whole piece look a little bland.

Thanks for the comment mampy... I have dry brushed both the heads. Maybe not clear in the pics. I will try with white instead of silver. Thanks for the feedback. Will have a think about how I can improve this.

Very nice work!

My only (small) critique is in the basic bot mode...it seems that the black on the chest/torso and head are blending together a bit too much, maybe needs a little color here and there to break it up.

But other than that, it's a wonderful figure. Your commissioner should be very pleased!

the black seems to just blend in too much....which doesnt give some contrast with the overall appeal. try giving some detail on the blacks, like some sliver paint touch ups..

but ,,this is a nice repaint of RID prime.

question though: you're doing hotspot and blades....where's Defensor? :-P

Looks really nice. If I had a critique it would be to soften the black next time around. Think of scale, black actually seems lighter as the scale gets smaller. If that were life sized the black would be like black hole dark! I would try a few drops of gray next time if you are brushing. If you are spraying, I suggest Krylon Fusion Camo Black, it's a bit softer but still a pure black.I like it a lot though!

Thanks for all the warm comments.

Regarding the black suggested to paint he chest red to the buyer, they want to stay in the black with dry brush effect... :) So, a little more dry brush and should be done.

Ryan: Defensor, I had a lot of interest in doing one.. The buyer wanted these individual bots first but also have seen alot of defensor lately, so havent been able to motivate to do one. Maybe after I complete all the other projects on the go.

Thanks BigHank.. great tip. I will look for it. I want to get into spraying but love my brushing too much still.
