Chris Cornell has a great voice - in the studio. I saw Soundgarden live three times and all three times his voice was horrid. After the first show, I thought it might have just been an off night. After the second, I had my doubts. After the third, I just knew.

Yeah, I've seen him with SG, Audioslave, and solo over a dozen times.

His voice in 1990 was perfect, then it went to shit up until about a year ago. Saw him last year and he really is getting back in shape it seems. Admittedly he doesn't do those paint peeling screams much anymore, but I'll take what I can get!

Currently, I'm customizing while the new Fear Factory album plays on my MP4 player as well as Divine Heresy's Bringer of Plagues. And when I shuffle my songs I suddenly get the Mah-na-mah-na song by the Muppets. Or the theme from 3rd Rock from the Sun. Or from the Ren & Stimpy show. :D

Oh man, they're my fav. Saw them back in February of this year on the "Black Ice" tour, and they rocked. Definitely the loudest show I've been to and I've seen Metallica, Aerosmith, etc.

Eric Clapton & Roger Daltry are going to be in Memphis in a few months, trying to convince my wife to go (how can you pass up a chance to see Clapton?!?), but she'd rather see Lil Wayne. :(

Shit TTT, you highjacked my music collection. I am a HUGE Patton fan. Loved that Fantomas clip. Saw them live in Minneapolis, and actually shot the shit with MP afterwards. Buzz Osbourne scared the shit out of me though....but the Melvins rock too!
Right now I have Them Crooked Vultures in the player, still haven't signed off on them as a band I like though. Listened to "Children of the Grave" by Black Sabbath on the way home from work tonight. Then I had to replay it twice cuz it is such an awesome fucking song. I have " For Those About to Rock" (AC/DC) in my studio player. Great back ground mood music.

Nope. I've said that for the past 24+ years that it is the greatest album of all time. Sure, I like heavier stuff and I like plenty of other bands... but Reign in Blood will always be the perfect album IMO. 28 minutes of pure aggression. It doesn't get any better than that.

Fun fact: when the album first came out, I purchased it on cassette tape and it had the entire track listing repeated on both sides. I guess because it was so short they decided to just use a 30 minute tape, lol. But it was perfect because I could listen to it straight through and then take it out and flip it (no auto-reverse back then) and listen to it again!

You know what? I like metal but in my old age I like less of the super RAWR RAWR double bass and snare machine gun beat super fast metal and overly dark and satanic sounding stuff. Maybe I'm stuck in my ways now like my dad and most elders but I need some new stuff from the bands I love or new bands much like them.
For about a year I haven't found shit.
I don't like the new Fear factory. The newest Killswitch Engage was a bit of a letdown. The best thing I've heard in a year was the latest Chimeria. Before that it was Mudvayne and All That Remains' latest.
My favorite band is probably In Flames but it seems they aren't doing anything.
A new Demon Hunter album is coming soon so maybe that will fill my need but if anyone has any suggestions I sure need them right about now.

Nice. I got the chance to see 'em a few times in the late '90s & early '00s. If you get the chance to meet Huey, take it - I got drunk with him one night (well, it was a big group, not just the 2 of us) and the guy has some awesome stories.

I've seen 'em countless times. Every time they're here in Holland (and for some reason they really like Amsterdam :confused: ) I buy tickets for more than one show :cool:

I agree, I think "The Blackening" is the most played album on my ipod, start to finish, one of the best ever made imo.

Great song, love it. I've been really listening to a lot of Rob Flynn's work, especially Machine Head's "The Blackening". If you guys like metal, I very highly recommend the special edition of that CD, very reminiscant of old Metallica, especially with this cover...
