Just interested in what everyone uses for joints, so far I have heard of Lego, but not sure which pieces.

I am using the scrap parts of old transformers. Its hard to find the right pieces though.

Thoughts?

So many jokes to be made about this thread's title.

I've heard good things about Neo Shifter joints. From what I can tell from the boxes, they won't look entirely out of place on a TF and you get about a leader sized Shifter for $10.

Those Neo Shifter Joints May Work, I will try out some.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Depends on the figure. I'm lame and avoid adding articulation unless the figure really suffers.

I've used Neo Shifters connectors on most of the TF customs I've added articulation to (or arms or legs). I picked up some of those Yellow Sub ball joints from HLJ a year ago and I've used one on my Devastator head cast from Ptitvite (project is still an early WIP) and I'm in the process of using them to add some shoulder articulation to my G1 Chromedome (this one was pushed to the side while I work on finishing some of my other TF customs).

They snap together tight and give a good range of motion, but be careful if you pick those up--I did crack one of the connectors when I snapped the ball into it after it was in place--had to pull it out and use another.
