Verizon customers - anybody check out the Moto Droid yet?

It is a nice unit with some cool features.... a bit to big and heavy for me. You should have waited for the iPhone in early Feb! I know I am!

the moto droid is verizon. verizon > at&t
isn't it also google built? looks like it's got it's own OS built specifically for that phone, the features I've seen on the commercials really sells it.

I know what you mean..... it was a learning curve for me. I have an iPhone for work and a storm for personal.... I H-A-T-E AT&T and con not wait until the iPhone is with verizon.

Why all the AT&T hating? I have AT&T and I love it. I get service EVERYWHERE. In my house, at my job, anywhere that I am. My girlfriend has Verizon, and guess what? No service in the house. No service outside our house. She had to walk 3/4 up the street the other day to call me about something.

And yeah, I have the iPhone, and I love that, too!

I really have no idea what 3G coverage even is. but with AT&T my calls got dropped all the time, and voice mails would show up 4 hours or a day or 2 later sometimes.

Really? That's surprising. I love AT&T. I had T-Mobile before this, and that coverage sucked. Sure, I saw all the commercials about Verizon and how great their coverage is, but for me AT&T is the way to go.

AT&T all the way for me. All my family has it so mobile to mobile with a nice amount of rollover minutes saved up and on that coverage chart everywhere I go is covered LOL. It's like I am their target market. Just different strokes for different folks.


I haven't really read into the Droid, once I got my iPhone I just stopped looking for the next better phone. It suits me great.

ATT really sucks, But my iphone is completely irreplaceable. I deal with the shitty service because the damn data is great and the iphone is so damn cool, If verizon gets the iphone Im gone, but I really really doubt they will ever get it.

Im with verizon the new Droid is like the Iphone but I think you can now get it flashed and boom you can change over.

No, Verzion is CDA or something and everyone else has sims, No way to get on Verzions network.

Yes the Driod is nice, but its no iphone. Apple always dose it right.

The droid was built on the complaints of iphone users. Aside from posting pics online, which I could also do from my droid, via facebook flickr and others. the droid has almost replaced my pc, as well as my ipod. you can download a free program called doubleswitch and switch the format of your itunes to a pc friendly invironment and upload them to your droid. PLUS with pandora radio app who needs an ipod anyway. I love this thing, I have had it since it came out. No dropped anything and always covered! Verizon is currently in negotiations with apple to become another "I"phone or to at least be able to store your itunes. = At&t loose big time. Hence the raging commercial debates

I will cancel my contract in a second if Version gets the iphone, but I doubt it will ever happen. ATT sucks and would lose a ton of people if Version gets the Iphone.

The friends I have are stuck paying 180 or there abouts to have unlimited service for at&t with their Iphone. To put this in perspective, my droid and the wifes nv touch cost us 130 a month for two phones with unlimited everything. I'm not saying that a contract with apple will keep my prices down, but like I said with pandora raido app I don't need my pod. The phone has a headphone jack so if during travel I want to plug into the aux jack in my car I'm set. Beats carying two devices. Download pandora to your pc, u will see what I mean!

i work for verizon. moto droid is very awesome. for windows users, i suggest htc imagio and the eris by htc is ok, nothing great
