I found Deluxe Bumblebee and Cliff Jumper for $14.99 and Voyager Optimus Prime for $24.99 at TRU in Deptford NJ. They also had cyberverse BB and bot shots there too. There were only a few left. Wish I actually had money to buy them. Oh well.

Someone posted the 2 primes side by side and I have to agree that the FE version is soooooooo much better.

They had the FE's up my way, but by the time I got there, all they had was BB and SS and I already had them from a contest a little while back on youtube... I found a round of the RID figs at target up my way in Somersworth as well, but didnt have the cash...

I will NOT bet getting these at TRU. Total rip off. I did just get Voyager Megatron at Walmart. I will get deluxes ONLY when they are on sale. And if I miss them, oh well. Fuck Hasbro for canceling lines, giving us smaller crappier versions, and at a higher price.

TRU has never been cheap. They have always charged several dollars more than other stores. I just wish I could find the FE editions somewhere.

just got a bunch of RID prime figures. They are all impressive. looking at cliffjumper, I don't know why there's such a big stink about FE vs. RID. RID is much more accurate to the on screen CJ, the chest/waist/legs, etc...

Yeah man, I just bought voyager class RID Megatron and Optimus today (my 2nd Optimus). I think they rock and I think they are just fine compared to the FE ones. The only difference on the RID Prime is really his lower chest area (no big deal really) and his back panels (which kinda look dumb as tall as they are). Megatron kicks ass though - the LED swap in the gun sucked but worth it changing it to purple.

Got Megatron and Optimus. Saw a bunch of the deluxes at Walmart. I refuse to pay 13 bucks. 20 for a voyager is fine. Although I am getting annoyed with the way Hasbro is cutting corners with the new figures. Smaller DOTM figures, smaller RID figures AND the plastic feels really really cheap. I weighed the Classics Voyager Prime, it weighed over 6 ounces. RID was 4.2 ounces. Deluxe Galvatron weighed more than voyager RID Prime.

Hopefully they will make a better version of both. Put the FE arms on the RID figure and it would be perfect.

RID cliffjumper.... 2 out of 10 . i dont have the FE cliff but from what i see on youtube way way better. the new ones are junk and being sold for the same price is stupid!!!

The reason those "tires are molded on are because the thigh pieces are the same for both figures. I'd say, if you swapped FE's arms on the RID body, you'd have a perfect Cliffjumper!

isnt arcee and ratchet in wave 1 as well? i see them all over ebay...

So since I have been stuck in bed sick for the past 2 weeks almost and probably will be for another week, the wife comes in about an hour ago and gives me a bag with 2 TFP Wheeljacks, a Cliffjumper, and a Soundwave that her and my daughter happened to see at the store yesterday while I was sleeping. She was going to wait until I got better before giving them to me, but since I've been up a little more than usual, she decided to give them to me now. Now I am stuck here in bed and unable to customize these figures! Wonder if that is an act of kindness, or an act of torture since she knows I am stuck in bed. I'll take it as kindness because these figures kick ass. Now to figure out what to make the Wheeljack figures into!!

so i just did a little math and in total in the last 2 weeks i spent over 400 on TFP figures... WTF...

the most recent being 2 vehicons @ 90 a pop shipped... i think i have a problem... i need someone to cut me off... but .... must... collect... rare... figures....

i'm about to spend another 350.... help me baby jesus!!!

HOLY CRAP!! $90.00 for Vehicons??? Aren't those supposed to be released in Wave 2? I'm trying to save up for the rumored Masterpiece Dinobots! I'm hoping I can get out of this bed soon so I can start looking for a TFP Ratchet.

Also wanted to thank you for the well-wishes. Having Pneumonia sucks ass! I've lost 12 pounds since I've been sick and it is DEFINITELY NOT FUN!!!! Well the meds are kicking in, so back to sleep for who knows how long.

Gah, I was hoping you wouldn't say TRU... I'll just have to be patient and hope Hasbro lives up to that PR message they put out a few weeks ago so I'll be able to get him and Bulkhead at reasonable prices later in the year.

Now that retailers are realizing Prime figures will sell, they've been getting a lot more common in my area, and we usually get shorted badly around here - Voyager Long Haul and Grindor never saw the light of day on our shelves, but I've seen all the Prime figures that hit the US on those same shelves. Of course, Hasbro again fails by sending out way more Bees and Primes than other figures in RiD, so they're starting to fill the shelves just like DOTM... Will they ever learn with this?... Anyway, back to my point - I think it won't be exceedingly difficult to get RiD Vehicon once it releases.

FE Bee is still pretty close to retail price online, and I can say the $18 (including shipping) I spent getting him from Amazon was worth it in my book. As for RiD, Soundwave is ok in hand. Other than the legs he looks pretty good, he's just small. I like him now that I have him, but I definitely would've waited for a Voyager version if I had any kind of faith in the eventual release of one. Just figured if they end up making a Voyager, I'll customize this one to sell off. Meanwhile I know I won't get caught without one and having to spend much more than I should have to get one, as happened to me when I passed up FE Bee and SS back in December. I still haven't got the Screamer yet; I just can't bring myself to spend Takara money for a US/Canada figure that was on the shelf 2 months ago. And like Hotwire said, the Wheeljack figure is awesome! He's definitely the one I'd recommend most out of the 5 Prime figures I have so far. Couple of minor nitpicks are all I can say that isn't good on him.

Wheeljack is DEFINITELY worth it. TRU is having a sale on their Transformers Deluxe figures. Buy two get the third one free!! So it might be worth it to pick these up there. I agree that the RID version of the Prime Bumblebee is crap, and I only picked one up to complete the collection so far. Luckily I was able to get a FE version of Bumblebee when they were out.

So I caved in and got Soundwave because I heard he was kind of hard to find.....Looks cool but not impressed. It's so flimsy and it barely weighs over a gram. I will now only get these when on sale.

I ended up getting PRID Bee. He is IMO very flimsy. I hate how his shoulders are at an angle. Also as far as doing a custom, there is no easy way to get him apart. It's mostly pins and some of them are hidden. I can't even see how to get is arms apart. Anyone have ideas? I don't want to ruin it but I do want to paint it.

Having acquired RiD Vehicon and Knockout this weekend, and Powerizer SS today, I'm kind of torn which I'm most impressed with from the line so far. Jackie's still at the top, but he's tied with Vehicon and Screamer right now. If SS's jet mode didn't have all that foot mess hanging out I'd probably have him at the top now though.

Knockout isn't nearly as bad in-hand as pics made him seem, but there's sooo much that could be done to improve him. Very first thing is he needs a complete paint overhaul. And I'm trying to figure out a plausible way to get his front wheels turned around to face out in 'bot mode.

Vehicon is wayyy more show-accurate than his FE version, and I just love the leg transformation on him. Almost all the car shell ends up folded nicely into his calves, eliminating a ton of kibble, and the finished leg barely shows it. Sadly though, Hasbro again screws up on the case packs and puts one of these army build characters in with 2 BB remolds...

So far, my biggest bitch about the figures is they are mainly held together with pins instead of screws. They have been a pain to try and paint so far.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Knockout being a very good example. He only has what, 5 screws, and 4 of those are in his "calves".

I'm biting the bullet and getting the hard to find ones. I did get Ratchet and then caved and got Wheeljack (I like the car mode more that the bot mode) and just got the Vehicon. He's already the best of the RID line. I just hate how small he his and the line over all. Other than that, he's the only one that does not feel lacking in anyway.
