I have been catching up on my Star Wars The Clone Wars Series on Cartoon Network and I have to wonder why there was never an Original Trilogy series like this! I mean seriously, Lucas has already screwed up the movies, so why not make an series based on characters from the original Trilogy? The Clone Wars is a great series and I have to say I almost like it more than the Prequel movies, ALMOST! Imagine seeing the characters that WE grew up with seen in a series like Clone Wars, it would be awesome! I'd LOVE to see that! I'm just wondering why it hasn't happened. Well I can dream I guess!

Well, there ARE quite a few people in this series from the original trilogy, such as Tarkin for example, but between the non-cannon BS, Anakin having an apprentice, and the style of animation, I think one words sums up my feelings about this series....

And this is coming from someone who has read about 85% of the expanded universe and loved every bit. Personally, I would like to see a series about the old republic or the "Legacy" era, instead of lucas fucking up the pasts and history of every character we have ever grown to love from the Saga...

I'm not a huge fan of the series, the style or the continuing rewriting of what's canon, but still I watch every damn episode. Because I'm an addict. A junkie. Infected. First, the series was aimed at the kids, which is great. Lots of action, without lots of kills (you can't kill droids), some sort of humor, but the series has grown darker. Which is also great, but now it seems they can't decide whether to push forward with the darker tone, or just keep lingering in the middle.
I hardly follow the story and only look at it with a customizer's eye. Quite a lot of ideas for making cool aliens and such, you know.
If they made CGI Clone Wars style remakes of all the movies I would watch the hell out of them. Love the series. Seems like it would be a logical choice to suck more money out of the fans anyways. lol
