Let me put it this way...how many of you actually WANTED to go see this, or did you sit through it in order to make your significant other happy?

I think it will end up the latter of the 2 for most of us, except, of course Sabina and Hatchet and Boskoes (Danielle) lol!

I am so sick of seeing that vampire dude on every magazine and TV show. I'd like him to get caught doing coke or DUI something

Yeah, but that would just make him more of a "bad boy". I'm serious, every single time that he came on screen all of the girls started screaming, and everytime the other guy took his shirt off, too. I thought I was watching a movie on Bravo for a minute there.

I'm not even going to start ranting about this movie, the attack section of twilightsucks.com says everything I could ever say.

I am strong. I will NOT see this with my significant other. She will go with her mother.

Yeah, niether me or Danielle are into this kinda crap. Vampire movies aren't all bad but we'd be more keen on seeing a Marvel Morbius movie. Twilight seems like it's geared towords teenage girls, I was surprised to see on my face book how many people my age (32) are excited to see it. I really don't know anything about it so I supose it could be a good flick- just don't think it'll make it on my must see list- I'm way behind on my re-watches of 80'S cartoons and B horror movies.

According to reviews (http://www.aintitcool.com/node/43130) even people who are into Twilight were outright laughing at the movie, it was that ridiculous. I wish I was oblivious to this series, I really wish I was.

Yea didn't see it with my wife, she went with a friend yesterday to see it while I was at work, don't plan on seeing it either,if I want to see a Vamp movie then I will just pop in John Carpenters Vampires and watch them tear people apart.

Vampires should not be shiny, nuff said.

If you want to talk about a great vampire movie, rent/buy "Near Dark". THAT movie is a certifiable classic.

Seriously, I had some other guys in there laughing with me (presumably because they were in the same situation as me) because everytime something really stupid would happen I'd start commenting like on Mystery Science Theater 3000. Then some 40-year old women told me to shush, lol.

I want to see a movie where "REAL" movie vampires attack a herd of the Twilight fans, and show them how that shit is supposed to go down. Like, I want to see David from Lost Boys take a chunk out of some 39 year old Edward-superfan with black fingernails and makeup. Sparkle in the sunlight my ass.

Luckily, my girlfriend doesn't want to see this... she made me sit through the first film with her (DVD rental) and she hated it. She's not a fan of the books or anything, it's just that we're both big horror fans, and she wanted to check it out. I was against it from the start, but I gave in and rented it for her... at least she didn't like it.

There are a TON of awesome vampire movies that you could watch in place of this... way too many to list. Near Dark is a great one, but not my all time fav.

While Lost Boys is definitely amongst my favs... I have to disagree. How can you say that the original Bela Lugosi Universal "Dracula" isn't a real vampire movie? Or some (not all) of the Hammer Dracula films with Christopher Lee??

Salem's Lot? From Dusk til Dawn? Fright Night?

well,,i guess they see this series like some fan (like me) sees transformers.

but you dont see fans screaming when prime kills megatron...er...wait...i think they do. LOL.

anyway, God give me strength this week coz i have to watch this with friends who want to watch this with me...all my excuses have been used up..and i can't seem to get out of this one anymore.

I had to sit through Twilight with my girlfriend. It was the suck.
Luckily my girl, Jen, agreed that the sparkly vampire "Say it... Say it out loud" crap was intensely estrogen driven and outright lame.
Now when I accidentally get a thin layer of chrome or silver spray paint on my arm she calls me Edward. Yay for me never having to see New Moon.

By the way, the whole Twilight story is a blatant ripoff of the Sookie Stackhouse books which were roughly used as the template for the show "True Blood".

I'm not a cocky bastard but I can easily say my newest book is better and more original than Twilight. Maybe I'll get rich too after it is published early next year.

AWESOME! I have a student that saw the movie (one of many). I asked her if she screamed any time a boy was on screen. She said "no" but her mom did. So I said, "So your mom likes teenage boys then?" She went from :):o:mad::(

Honestly, I'll see both movies at some point, if for no other reason than to see how bad it is.

It does kinda irk me how (as far as I can tell from the commercials) native americans are the only ethnic group who seem to be able to catch werewolfism.

Or are they not all native americans?

Saw both and they are just ok. Way to drawn out. They could really be half hour specials and it wouldn't change the movies story. Oh and bad acting from the chick and edward. Sooo lame sometimes its just funny.

lmao, he wasnt a wolf at that point just some dude who is supposedly native american.

another thing, they took the native american beleif of spirit/guide animals/skinwalker way too far. almost making fun of it.the indians enemies with vampires a little far fetch for me.
