As the title says, Is there a good way to Thicken water based paints.
I've been using Createx Airbrush Colors as my detail paints for about 6 to 8 months.
I've never had a problem with the thickness of them until I used the
Fluorescent Green. It's just seems so much thinner then the rest.
I thought about letting it "sit" for a lil while (to thicken) before using it,
but does anyone have any better idea or tips ?

Thanks in advanced.

Just leaving the container open for a while to dry out a bit seems like the obvious answer.

Also, whats with the sig?

Yeah pretty much the only way to thicken paint is to let the water/alcohol/thinner/solvents/etc. evaporate from it. But with just leaving the cap open you might just get the top layer of paint to become like a film and that wont help ya one bit.

I have quite a few Kustom Kolors paints that are really thin too. I just always make sure I have a good white basecoat down first. With fluorescent green you might even want to experiment with a yellow base coat to really make it vibrant.

yeah, gel mediums work well for acrylics. I am pretty sure liquitex makes a "thickening gel" or paste which is a neutral color. I would leave the lid off though, worse case scenario (like tony said) you'll get some skin on the top, but that can be taken out, and the paint under it should be thicker.
