One of my favorite older hitman movies. I am ready for Natalie Portman to do the sequel now that she is all grown up.

Is this a remake of the original with Jean Paul Belmondo, or is it a sequel to Léon? Both are favourites of mine as well :)

I'm pretty certain The Professional was the name of the film in th US market. In the UK it was named Leon. I too thought the film was great, but a sequel? Nah, it would just be a disappointment, even with Natalie Portman :P

Yeah well, that's how it is these days. Don't be original, just take a classic, make a sequel or prequel and cash in. I wouldn't mind a sequel to Léon, as long as Michael Bay's at the helm :ban-llama:

Ooh, just going over imdb. Seems the US version had the 'sexual tension' parts cut. Found it a bit unnerving but did add something to the film. They were restored in the international release so go for that one and see it how Luc Besson intended.

Another film of a similar ilk was Man Bites Dog (Belgian, Cannes winner I think). Anyone else tried that one?

Didn't know it was called Leon overseas. Even with stuff cut from the film you could still tell the connection. Still a great film if they ever did a sequel its gotta have a good story mixed with (The Transporter and Wanted) type action in it.
And Gary Oldman...damn freaky dude in every movie he is in lol. Jean Reno has also been a favorite actor of mine...and Miss Portman, has come a long ways.
Totally forgot about all the G1 Transformers bits in it till I watched it today.

I remember seeing it in theaters and being a little disappointed. Wanted to see more hitman stuff and less Natalie Portman. It was like watching 3 Men and a Baby but A cool hitman taking care of a little girl. Still, it was a cool movie.
