Hello everyone.

I just thought I would post a few of my customs as an introduction since I just joined the board.

I have been customizing off and on for a bit more than a year now. Some of you may have seen my work on one of the other great customs sites out there.

I am fairly slow at this for now. Partially because of limited time, partially because of my need to have things be 'just so'.

Anyway, I am going to show Penance first. He is the first custom I did, started in early 2008. Very, very proud of how he turned out.

Lots and lots of sculpting, and metal wire for the rings.

Photos are a bit shoddy, so I apologize for that. These will have to do for Penance though since I no longer own him.

In hindsight, there are a few things I would have done differently. The biggest one is that I would make his helmet removable (the faceplate, at least).

Here are some WIP shots that I took:

I am always open to comments, questions, and criticism, so please post any you might have. I very much appreciate feedback on my work, especially if it can help me improve.

Thanks for looking.

~Eric

Edit:
I started a blog yesterday as a showcase for my work, located here: http://emillscreations.blogspot.com/

There are more pictures there. I am hoping to be able to use this blog to keep myself on a somewhat regular schedule and as a place for people to contact me if they are looking to have work done.

Thank you very much!

Thanks!

I use three main types of putty:
Apoxie Sculpt
Kneadatite (Green Stuff)
ProCreate (Grey Stuff)

I use these putties either alone or in varying mixtures of two of them.

The grey colored material here is ProCreate mixed with Apoxie Sculpt and the green colored material is Kneadatite mixed with Apoxie Sculpt.

Mixing these putties gives some of the properties of both and helps to minimize the weaknesses of each.

The faceplate is painted with Testors Model Master Acryl Aluminum over a black basecoat. That is it.

Thank you very much! Comments like these make all the time invested worth it.
