Make-A-Wish: Cliffjumper

Here ya go guys, one of my submissions for the Make a wish charity event!

CJ here started as BB, modded the head and the hood and added LEDs in the eyes, head lights, and tail lights.

Scratch building an extensive set of weapons for him, here's a tease of his "Glass Gas" revolvers! The cylinders even spin too! Enjoy the show, and keep an eye out for the auction!

F_R will get the better pics, I sux at photography! LOL

Freaking badass! You gotta make some tutorials on how to install those LED's sometime.

The LEDs were pretty straight forward except the head lights. Because the front of the car splits in half I scratch built a 2 conductor plug and socket for the passenger side head light. If you turn on the head lights in 'bot mode only the driver's side will light up. So when you transform him into car mode the plug and socket become the peg and hole for the front, connecting the passenger headlight to the circuit. I typically would try for a single master on/off switch for all the LEDs, but I felt lights on CJ's feet looked out of place (unless he dropped his keys or a contact! LOL). So there is a dedicated headlight switch and then a switch for the eyes and tai lights.

I am working on a "follow along" type tutorial for LED wiring. It will cover head/tail/eye LEDs on one figure, done in installments. This way we can explore the pitfalls of actual installation as well as wiring basics.

Yeah bro! I scratch built them, the cylinders spin too! There are 5 "hollow point" bullets in the chambers, after paint I'll get some detailed pics of them.

I have a pretty good arsenal of weapons coming for CJ (but will work with most Classics figs). I don't want to spoil it because they are "bonus" items for the Auction, but they will be full of whiz bangery! :D

Haha! I knew the revolvers would throw some folks off!

I picture CJ as a bit of a veteran, Dirty Harry type. Hell he's even got stripes on his arm denoting rank.

Alty shows great foresight. In my world Wheeljack did indeed build these special revolvers for CJ specifically. They carry the GlassGas cartridges but the revovler design allows WJ to outfit CJ with all kinds of different shells.

Revolvers are more short/close range which fits Cliffjumper as he would disable a larger "Con and then get up close and go to ass whippin'!

I have a couple other weapons planned, we'll see them later in the auction but maybe a sneak peek or two will show up on this thread.
