View Full Version : Melky Cabrera, Bucky Dent Hr scene customs

Well this was kind of a difficult custom (Melky) had to do alot of sculpting on it. Not real happy with the head but the customer wanted the expression so we went with it. The Dent scene has Mike Torrez, Fisk and Umpire all together. Only had one pic to use for this which was black and white so that made it difficult as well. Did not have enough room to photo that scene all togehter unfortunately. Thanks for looking. On the dent figure you see where I combimed his base with the catcher figure base with apoxy sculpt. This was blended in after pics were taken. (forgot to retake pic afterwards)

I think you are far too hard on yourself! These are phenomenal! What I really like about a lot of your customs, is that they capture an actual moment in time. I imagine a lot of your clients are over the top happy, because you likely have given them a 3-dimensional representation of a game that they remember fondly. Great stuff!

Man I really appreciate the comment. I am far from good at sculpting anything but I do what I can to capture the look the client wants. Any suggestions or sculpting resources you may have would be appreciated. Always looking to learn what I can!

You're gonna have to do a new Melky now... wearing his World Series champs gear ;)

No not all sculpted just the first figure and with him its just his waist left shoulder arm area wristbands and front part of the lower jersey.
