Hi All

I had a spare Endor soldier helmet, rifle and backpack sitting in the bits box and was wondering what I could do with them. I then remembered that I had a WW2 German snow outfit and thought it would be a great idea to combine the two.

This dio depicts Megust Vultii a Rebel soldier surveying a open field for Imperial movement on the planet of Daltorine a snow covered planet with forests and frozen lakes which can be very hazardous to heavy walkers. Even thou Daltorine can get down to -12% at night it is nowhere as cold as Hoth and also less snow storms as well.

RECIPE

Figure - The figure's body is a TLL.V3 with Sideshow hands and a Dragon head. As mentioned before the helmet, backpack and rifle are from Sideshow's Endor Troop, the outfit, boots and gloves are from Dragon.

The flak jacket is modern day and is from Dragon and the pouches, knife and small tech items are from Sideshow and Dragon.

I gave everything except the outfit and gloves a drybrush of matt white to combine everything together but not over doing it as I wanted to show that the gear was put together very quickly like they did during WW2 by adding bits and pieces from other pieces of equipement.

Base - The base is a picture frame from a Two Dollar shop, the ground work has been built up using plaster of paris and once dry was painted a light brown.

The shrubs are from an old straw broom I have in the garage I just cut off what I needed and tied the ends and inserted them into the plaster.

The snow is a mixture of GW and Woodland Scenics, I used wood glue/PVA and spread it around the base then poured the snow over the top of the glue. Once everything has dried I used Vallejo paints and pastels to paint and weather the dio and figure.

Hi All

Tank driver - thanks mate and if I make a figure static I like to try and give it a good pose to make it a little more exciting.
