View Full Version : Taejo - Transformers Animated/Speed Racer Custom

This was a collaberation between Jon Davis (www.prototypeinks.com) and myself. Taejo is one of the Racers from the Speed Racer Movie. You'll have to forgive me, I don't know much about the character. The custom is made with TFA Jazz, repainted with Tamiya and Testors. The dragon was quite a bit of work. It's different from the one on his car since we couldn't get a clear shot of it. I used his logo image, (same dragon except it doesn't wrap around), reshaped it and sized it to fit on the car. I then cut it into a piece of vinyl mask and used that as a stencil. Not the best method but it worked.

Car mode looks great! Can I get some bot mode pics pleeez? I really like your paint apps, nice and shiny! Great decals too.:D

Bot mode pictures will be up tomorrow, I promise! The glosscote should be fine but I'm just not entirely comfortable transforming him tonight. I've made some major mistakes before and tonight, since this is going to a friend, I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Lovin' the headsculpt! Bot mode was definitely worth the wait! If I had to nitpick, I'd say the insides of the arm guards have a little white bleeding through. It's so minor it wouldn't bother me a bit if this was on my shelf!:D:D
