G1 Animated Hot Rod/Rodimus

Turned this bad boy out in about 3 hours. Very simple and fun to do.

I took the Animated Rodimus Minor and gave it a G1 Hot Rod feel.

Changes made
===========
-Shaved down crest and removed the highlighter/neon oranges to give him a more youthful rounded head. Less Kup-ish.

-Repainted head crest using Gore Red and filled in the crest squares with silver.

-Gave him a smirk with an exacto knife and panel lined the mouth with a micron pen.

-Metallic pipes and hip engine thingies. Using Buffing Metalizer Testor paint.

-Painted legs black which are full hidden in Alt mode.

-Spoiler repaint with a metallic gold.

Alt Mode

Not much changed on the Alt mode with the exception of the chrome metallic bits.

I honestly LOVE this a lot more than just the regular version. I personally feel I pulled off what I was aiming for and quite happy with the way it turned out.

I almost want to get this just for the car mode. Looks like the changes are very subtle other than the legs.

Yeah it honestly was done of out sheer boredom and I needed a break from another custom. I can see coming back to this and doing a full pipe rotating mod and maybe chroming out a few more piece.

And over all it is a really nice figures even the unmodded one if you a Hot Rod fan.

nice touches you've made here. i'm with solrac, personally I'm not an animated fan, but that alt mode kicks major booty. best of luck on ebay man, hope he does great!

If there was a way to make the bot mode less animated I would get it and do it. Man I hate guy that designed animated.
