Hey everyone! Thought I'd say hello and post some of my GI Joe based customs... Though the characters are from a variety of sources, the 25thA/ROC style is my preferred style to work in. Really enjoying seeing everyone's work, hope you all enjoy mine as well! I mostly post over at joecustoms.com, yakface.com, and rebelscum.com.

Prof. Positron, my old City of Heroes character. He's a MU Stealth Iron Man body with a head from the Star Wars "Joker Squad" pack. The radiation symbol on his chest is a hand painted thumbtack... I'm a bit disappointed in the result, but I know my detail painting won't get better unless I practice with elements like this.

Left 4 Dead Firefighter Survivor - Based on my father-in-law who gets in a game of L4D with my group from time to time. He retired from the Houston Fire Department after 35 years this year! ROC Footloose, Benchpress, Heavy Duty, and Arctic Snake Eyes parts mostly.

http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa220/ashexmachina/eclipse.jpghttp://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa220/ashexmachina/eclipse-1.jpgEclipse was my submission to the first ever Bivouac/JoeCustoms Group Project (the ARAH figure on the right). I recently decided to build him in 25thA style, but I made myself only use parts I had on hand... so there might have been some more accurate part choices, but it was meant to be a fun, quick little custom. Pleased with how he came out in the new style.

SALLY SQUAD "Sally Squad" is what my group of friends jokingly call ourselves when we play online. We were all very into Battlefield 2 for a while, so I made tribute customs of everyone as their favorite class.

http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa220/ashexmachina/assualtb.jpgMy brother.
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa220/ashexmachina/specops.jpgAnd two good friends, who my wife has known since at least middle school.
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa220/ashexmachina/support.jpgI need to do some updated shots. Not only has my photography improved, some of these guys have gotten upgraded gear like weapon slings, C4 for the spec-ops, and a double-drum mag for the support's gun.

Dan! So good to see you here. I already know your work and you know I know your work, plus you know what I think of your work.... I think....

But I haven't seen that latest duo before! Wicked, man! That Hitler looks like he just stepped out of Castle Wolfenstein! What's the recipe for him and Abe?

Hey Incom!

So glad you recognized the Wolfenstein elements! He's an Admiral Ozzle head resculpted (the same actor played Hitler in The Last Crusade, I believe) on an Iron Man 2 comic style classic Iron Man body. Sculpted the collar, added a little plastic cap from some eye-glass cleaner, and a backpack from Rum Slegg from star wars. Guns are various GI Joe bits.

Abe is a Wolverine Origins movie style Sabertooth head, resculpted, with arms and legs from the same figure. Chest is Henry Jones Senior, and his cannon arm is just some random bits bashed together!

These all look great! I especially like the Killer and the custom of your father in law! You better treat your wife right- he looks tough! The custom of you looks like you should be selling us on the cleaning power of OXICLEAN! Do you look like Billy mays in real life? Just kidding of course- all of these look spectacular!

LOL, not quite, but I do see the resemblance in the figure now that you mention it. The cool thing was that Picasa's new face recognition feature recognized that the figure was supposed to be me and labeled it as such! I thought that must mean I did an okay job on the resemblance! ;)

Thanks for all the kind words and welcome everyone!
