Base figure: SMC12 Spin 'N Trap Spider-Man
Arms: ML8 Iceman
Webshooters: ML8 Black Widow
Ankle Pouches: ML9 Bullseye
I used a SMC12 Unlimited Spider-Man as a base figure. Replaced his original arms with projectile shooting action feature with an ML8 Iceman's arms. Since Scarlet Spider has a simple design, I focused on sculpting his shirt and belts, making things complicated and giving me sleepless nights (lol). It took me some weeks to finish the hooded shirt because it has to be sculpted part by part (muscle by muscle; one side at a time or both sides at the same time for symmetry) to achieve a tight-fit look which retains the contours of his torso. Details such as stitches and textures were added to give some realism to the sculpt. Like my previous G.I. Joe customs, I opted to sculpt a military belt on Scarlet Spider instead of his original belt simply because the former is much fun to do. The ankle straps were sculpted in a way that it won't interfere with the articulation and used the pouches from ML9 Bullseye's belt. Bought an ML8 Black Widow just to take her webshooter-like gauntlets. I also added the webshooter trigger on his palms. Airbrush painted almost everything except for the shirt which was painted by drybrushing.
