A little project for my brother in-law Tom. He (like most of us) is a huge Star Wars geek. It's my first diorama. This is his Christmas gift.
1/72 scale X-wing and Y-wing snap-tite model kits Fully repainted with automotive urethane detailed with Testors MM enamels and sealed with flattened Nason clear coat for everlasting durability.
The figurines are from various booster packs of a Star Wars game. Slightly larger in scale tho, they get the point across quite nicely.
Some random Airforce ground equipment from model kits I had lying around.
Its base is a 16x12 photo frame that cost me 4 dollars @ Walmart.
6 smd(?) Led's were cut into the back of the frame to represent landing lights powered by 3 AAA batteries, on/ off and intermitent switches installed.
The Holo-Jedi came with a Clone Wars action figure it's powered by 3 watch
batteries with its own on off switch.
A BIG THANK YOU to Big Hank for the help with Led's!
It was late, new image sizes!
